Spring Grove man injured in Fillmore County motorcycle crash
RUSHFORD VILLAGE, Minn. – A motorcycle crash in Fillmore County Saturday sent the rider to the hospital. It happened around 10:17 am on Highway 43, one mile south of Rushford. The Minnesota State Patrol says Terry Lee Lund, 57 of Spring Grove, was riding north when he lost control and his 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle ended up in the ditch.

(ABC 6 News) — Fly High Olivia, a banquet honoring the life of 18-year-old Olivia Flores, was held on Saturday, July 27 at the Owatonna Eagles. Olivia Flores died in a crash involving Minnesota State Trooper Shane Roper in May. Roper now faces multiple charges related to the crash.

West Nile Has Been Found in Iowa Mosquitoes
The good news is that at the time of writing, no humans in Iowa have yet tested positive for the West Nile virus. Mosquitos on the other hand have been found containing the virus in central Iowa. According to KCRG, mosquitoes were trapped at a park in West Ames sometime in mid-July. The park where these mosquitoes were found is sprayed or fogged every Wednesday night. Some of these mosquitoes contained the West Nile virus.
Motorcycle crash injured two in Cerro Gordo County
ROCK FALLS, Iowa – Two motorcyclists were seriously hurt after hitting a power pole Sunday in Cerro Gordo County. The Iowa State Patrol says Christopher Douglas, 45 of Mason City, was riding a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle south on Spring Street when he failed to handle a curve near Nottingham Avenue. The State Patrol says the motorcycle went off the road and struck a power pole around 3 am.
