Joel Graybeal has helped steer Triangle Rock Club to six locations

Triangle Rock Club , the largest climbing gym operator in the Triangle, is currently building its biggest climbing facility yet at Raleigh's Salvage Yard redevelopment off Atlantic Avenue.

Why it matters: Managing partner managing partner Joel Graybeal has helped grow TRC to six different locations, from its original gym in Morrisville all the way to Richmond.

• Its second Raleigh location at Salvage Yard — across the street from the Raleigh Iron Works development — will serve as its new flagship gym, Graybeal told Axios.
• The under-construction facility, expected to open later this year, will be 40,000 square feet, including an area with 50-foot-tall clearances, and will be adjacent to a new location from Cary brewery Bond Brothers.

Axios spoke with Graybeal for our Local Limelight series. Answers have been edited for Smart Brevity.
