Sounds of Summer concerts resume at First Christian Church

First Christian Church’s sixth annual Sounds of Summer Series starts at noon Wednesday, July 3, with Raleigh soprano Ginger Jones-Robinson and her collaborative pianist, Alan Rudell.

Additional concerts will be July 17 with pianist Dexter Ruffin, Aug. 7 with soprano Elizabeth Winstead and pianist Casey Childers and Aug. 21 with tenor Matthew Joyner and pianist Matthew Young. These concerts are at noon at the church and are free and open to everyone.

The final concert is at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, and is the 12th annual Music for Hope Concert.

Monetary donations to support the artists are welcome.

Those attending are also invited to take food pantry items to be given to the summer food drive.
