NC State football is set to open fall camp on July 31 and the Wolfpack has several players entering an integral season for their professional football career hopes. As the Pack boasts a veteran-laden squad, many of NC State’s key players will have an opportunity to boost their NFL Draft stock.

The East-West Shrine Bowl helped set the scene with its top 1,000 draft eligible players list that it released ahead of the 2024 season. The rankings are determined by the all-star game’s staff, while they consulted with NFL and college personnel around the country as well.

NC State had nine players make the list — five on offense and four on defense — going into fall camp.

Graduate quarterback Grayson McCall headlined the list, while he was joined by standout center Zeke Correll , offensive tackle Anthony Belton , offensive guard Timothy McKay and running back Jordan Waters offensively.

On defense, meanwhile, the Wolfpack’s star cornerback Aydan White made the top 1,000 rankings, in addition to defensive end Davin Vann , and safeties Donovan Kaufman and Ja’Had Carter .

The East-West Shrine Bowl is set to take place at AT&T Stadium on Jan. 30. The players selected to play in the game will be coached by NFL staff members in the week leading up to the game as they look to improve their draft standing.

NC State center Dylan McMahon played in the contest this past season, and it helped lead to his sixth-round selection by the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Wolfpack opens the 2024 season against Western Carolina on Aug. 29 at Carter-Finley Stadium. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be televised on the ACC Network.

    Quote of the day

How does Young, the No. 12 safety in the Class of 2025, see himself fitting into the Pack’s defense? Let him explain.
