Letter to the Editor: RIDGE RANCH ROAD TRAFFIC LIGHT TRAVESTY
I got a kick out of Joe Naiman’s column on air quality and carbon emissions. Do all locals realize the County is installing a traffic light at Ridge Ranch Road? 41 houses in Ridge Ranch will now control 31,000 residents coming and going up and down the grade! Yep, instead of being “inconvenienced” by turning right and making a U-turn at Banbury, all the rest of Valley Center can stop and wait while a single car turns left and saves two minutes! Imagine cars, trucks, semi’s, trailers all coming to a stop while grandma pulls out. All momentum is lost, so everyone else will start from a stop, emitting tons! of carbon emissions and black exhaust getting started back up and over the hill.

Those of us who live more than five miles from a fire station have seen our homeowner’s insurance tripled or quadrupled and some have had their homeowner’s insurance cancelled due to no nearby fire station.
