Charges pile up after wreck
TRINITY – A man driving a stolen car wrecked and was accused of being impaired, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office said. The wreck happened on Saturday on Finch Farm Road in the Trinity area, and a witness reported that a driver had fled the scene to go across the street to a convenience store. Deputies later identified the man as Skylar Jordan Payne, 34.

Thomasville man dead after July 4 rollover crash in Asheboro
ASHEBORO, N.C. — At 1:22 p.m. on July 4th, NC State Highway Patrol were called about a Randolph County crash on Little Uwharrie Road near Kennedy Farm Road. Troopers say Eddie Wayne Fouts, 56, of Thomasville, was driving west on Little Uwharrie Road in a Ford Explorer. Fouts reportedly went off road to the right, down an embankment and overturned.
