History: Cerro Coso Community College: The start of 50 years of student success
On May 7, 1974, 57 students crossed the stage of Cerro Coso Community College’s theater as the first graduating class. In his greeting, college President Dr. Richard A. Jones said, “Truly, I believe that we cannot exaggerate the importance of what this first graduation symbolizes for the college, for the community, and for the individual students here tonight in the class of 1974.”
SSUSD place a local Classroom Repairs and Safety Measure on the November 5th ballot
Sands Unified School District (SSUSD) Dr. April Moore, Superintendent – The Sierra Sands Unified School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously to place a local Classroom Repairs and Safety Measure on the November 5th ballot for voter consideration. If enacted, the measure would allow the District to maintain and make basic repairs to aging classroom facilities and address school safety needs.
