‘It’s all I’ve ever known’: Mark Prina honored for 31 years with Paxton Swedes
PAXTON – To say the sight of Mark Prina at Memorial Field in Paxton is a familiar one would be an understatement. In between Games 1 and 2 of Sunday’s Eastern Illinois Baseball League doubleheader between Prina’s Paxton Swedes and the Buckley Dutchmasters, a ceremony was held to recognize Mark Prina for his 31 years as a member of the Swedes.

Buckley Dutchmasters sweep Paxton Swedes to improve to 12-1
PAXTON – The Buckley Dutchmasters and Paxton Swedes added another chapter to their historic Eastern Illinois Baseball League rivalry on Sunday. In front of a crowd that occupied the entire area outside the left- and right-field fences, the Dutchmasters swept their longtime foes, defeating the Swedes 16-2 in Game 1 and 13-2 in Game 2.
Armstrong community gathers for Falcon Pride Golf Tournament
The Armstrong football and golfing communities came together on July 12 for the 2024 Armstrong Falcon Pride Golf Tournament, at Brookview Golf Club in Golden Valley.
