Drinking water available for residents without power
(WENY) -- With over 10,000 people in Chemung County alone without power, a number of fresh water stations have been set up on Tuesday, July 16th to help people get by. Chemung County Emergency Management has set up water distribution site in Elmira at the Southport Volunteer Fire Department located at 1001 Carl St. and the East Water Street and Dewitt Ave. Parking Lot located next to the Clarion Inn.

Couple Behind Hope Center Continuing to Seek their Next Mission
It was at the end of May that the Hope Center’s Nathan and Lauren Lenstra ceased operations in what they had been providing for families in the Fair Oaks Area. Their ministry dated back to 2007. Houston man arrested in Illinois for fatal hit-and-run
HOUSTON, Texas — A suspect wanted in a fatal hit-and-run crash after leading Houston police on a pursuit has been arrested in Illinois. Jacolby Pendleton, a 30-year-old from Houston, is charged with murder in the 184th State District Court. The victim has been identified as 68-year-old Sharon Griffin.
