New Monmouth College Softball Coach Not So New to Program
Central Illinois native Tyler Inselmann has been named Monmouth College softball coach. Inselmann has been part of the Monmouth softball staff for the last two seasons as an assistant coach. Prior to joining the Scots, Inselmann was an assistant coach at Tremont High School, just outside of Peoria. He spent three seasons with the Turks, winning regional titles in 2021 and 2022 before falling both seasons in the sectional round to state-power Rockridge.

2024 Monmouth Little Lions League Hands Out Awards at Ceremony at Harmon Park
The 2024 Monmouth Little Lion’s League Baseball season came to an end last night at Harmon Park in Monmouth with the annual Award Ceremony Picnic. A fantastic turnout was treated to a hot dog, chips and a drink. Following the meal, the regular season and tournament champs were recognized. The same team earned both awards in the minor league with Stombaugh Law garnering both trophies. Midwest Bank swept the major league division, as well, winning the regular season and tournament title.
Scots Earn 178 Academic All-Conference Selections
MONMOUTH, ILL. (07/15/2024) Monmouth College had 127 student-athletes, representing 18 sports, named Midwest Conference Academic All-Conference on Monday. The Scots had 15 student-athletes earn Academic All-Conference in multiple sports, resulting in 173 MWC Academic All-Conference selections plus five golfers from the SLIAC for a total of 178 honorees in the 2023-24 academic year.
Western Illinois University Tennis Adds a Pair
MACOMB – Western Illinois University tennis coach Luke Ogren announced the addition of a pair of new players to the roster this week. Joining the Leathernecks this fall are Nour Gueblaoui and Mana Fawcett. Fawcett joins Western Illinois after prepping at North Cobb High School in Acworth, Georgia. On the court, Fawcett was a three-time Cobb County All-County Girls Tennis Team Member, a three-time Scholar Athlete, and a Positive Athlete nominee.
