While responding to the call, officers were given the registration of the fleeing vehicle and description of the driver. The driver was identified as Lorena Manobanda-Moreno, 38.

According to police, officers determined that Moreno had struck a parked car in the parking lot and entered the store. After exiting the store, police said, Moreno was confronted by a 48-year-old Somerville woman who witnessed the accident, and, when Moreno entered her vehicle to leave the scene and drove in reverse, the 48-year-old victim was struck.

The woman declined medical assistance at the scene.

Moreno was found at Lindner Court in the proximity of her vehicle. As they attempted to question her, she tried to run into her home by jumping over her balcony railing.
