Pastor Killed In I-55 Wreck
A longtime Water Valley pastor was killed in a single-vehicle wreck on I-55 Monday afternoon. Mississippi Highway Patrol Sgt. Marvin Baird reported Sammy Townes, 63, was a passenger in a 2010 Cadillac hearse heading northbound on the interstate near the Enid exit when the vehicle left the roadway and rolled over several times.
