A Brand New Fried Chicken Chain Is Opening Its First NJ Store In Monmouth County
Move over Colonel, there's a new chicken joint coming to Jersey and it looks like it's going to change the game for fried chicken lovers all over the state!. Now, I've never heard of this place before but after doing a little digging into what they're all about, I'm excited to see that they're making a move towards the Jersey Shore.
Stay out of the water! Major sewage leak in Red Bank, NJ
RED BANK — Residents and visitors are "strongly advised" to stay out of the Navesink River because of an accidental release of sewage into storm drains. A drilling crew working in Parking Lot 1 in front of the NJ Transit station at the intersection of Monmouth and Burrowes streets struck a pressurized main. The borough is also discouraging the consumption of fish and shellfish from the area of the Route 35 bridge over the Navesink.

NJ.com is reporting that the campground at Sandy Hook is "closed until further notice". They report that "Sandy Hook’s campground, located in New Jersey’s portion of the Gateway National Recreation Area in Monmouth County, is closed until further notice due to an infestation of pests, officials said Friday."

Navesink sewage spill not a risk for swimmers or shellfish, NJDEP says
RED BANK – The sewage spill in Red Bank is “not considered a risk for swimming or shellfish,” according to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. After a drilling company hit a force main on July 11, the borough issued an alert to avoid eating shellfish or swimming in the Navesink River. The sewage spill occurred in NJ Transit Train Station’s Lot 1 at the intersection of Monmouth and Burrowes streets.
