Low-level helicopter flights are slated to begin over a broad region of southwestern Colorado to image geology using airborne geophysical technology. Flying will commence in mid to late June 2024 and will take up to 2 months to complete, weather and wildfire restrictions permitting. The popular Shrine Ridge Trail located near the scenic Vail Pass Summit is set to be closed most of the week throughout summer.
