There will still be plenty of Walgreens locations in Colorado after these three close down, but for how long?. As of July 2024, there were upwards of 10,000 Walgreens across America, with Colorado having just over 50. For the first time in a decade and a half, Blackberry Smoke is on the road with a new musician in the band’s lineup. Kent Aberle has taken over on drums for Brit Turner, who alongside fellow original members Charlie Starr (singer/guitarist/main songwriter), Paul Jackson (guitar) and Richard Turner (bass) formed the original Blackberry Smoke lineup in 2000. Vail community picnics return in July and August
The town of Vail’s annual neighborhood picnic series returns this summer with events in July and August. This is the 24th year the picnics have taken place. The first picnic will be held on Tuesday, July 9, at Bighorn Park in East Vail, and the second will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Donovan Pavilion in West Vail. Both picnics will start at 11:30 a.m. and go until 1 p.m. with free food and drink provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Popular trail full of panoramic mountain views to close most days this summer
The popular Shrine Ridge Trail located near the scenic Vail Pass Summit is set to be closed most of the week throughout summer. According to the US Forest Service, the trail will be closed Monday through Friday from July 8 to September 8 due to "much-needed trail maintenance."
