Dallas Love Field Airport Invites Community to Engage at Good Neighbor Program Meeting
Community members and others who have a stake in the operations of Dallas Love Field Airport are gearing up for the upcoming quarterly meeting of the Good Neighbor Program, slated for July 30 at 6 p.m. This meeting, a regular fixture for those who keep a close eye on the airport's dealings, will take place in person at the Department of Aviation's Foxtronics Building, offering locals a chance to hear updates and engage with airport staff on various topics, according to the City of Dallas.

Beleaguered doesn’t seem strong enough an adjective for the county’s juvenile detention center, which has had reports of kids being locked in solitary confinement for up to 23 hours a day. The Texas Juvenile Justice Department recently sent inspectors in unannounced, which prompted the resignation of now-former director Darryl Beatty. Commissioner Andy Sommerman, who, with County Judge Clay Jenkins, has called for an outside review of the operation, says he expects a new director to be named by the board’s next meeting on August 19.
