BURDEN EARNS FIRST-TEAM PRESEASON HONORS AS MIZZOU PICKED TO FINISH SIXTH IN SEC
Mizzou wide receiver Luther Burden III is the Tigers’ only entry on this year’s preseason all-Southeastern Conference team. The conference announced the media’s selections for preseason honors and predicted order of finish at the end of last week’s SEC Media Days in Dallas. Burden picked up first-team honors, following his breakout season last year that saw the St Louis native ninth in the nation in receiving yards with 1,212 yards, and third in the conference with 86 receptions, including nine touchdowns. Burden earned a first-team SEC selection at the end of last season and was a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award.
