Woman with severe dementia reported missing in Red Wing

Police in Red Wing are asking for help finding a local woman who has been missing for more than two days.

Elena Popa, who is diagnosed with "severe dementia," was last seen at her home around 5:00 a.m. Friday, according to a news release from the Red Wing Police Department:

Though her family is unsure what she was wearing at the time of her disappearance, police say Popa "typically wears clothing of a long dress style."

Popa speaks some English "with a heavy eastern European accent," the release notes.
