As the temperature cooled Friday night, families and friends gathered for the opening of the 101st season of the Redlands Bowl Summer Music Festival. Women from the Associates of the Redlands Bowl handed out programs and gave information, as they have been doing for seventy years, as ushers prepped the night’s volunteer crew for intermission and passing the red bowl for the free will donations that contribute to the success of the RBSMF.

In previous articles covering the restoration efforts of the March Field Air Museum (MFAM) in Riverside, California, we have focused on individual aircraft, such as the museum’s combat veteran B-29 Superfortress, and the trio of Sabres, A, L, and H-models, all of which have a connection to the region.
