Half Moon Bay Little League roundup
Half Moon Bay wrapped up the 2024 Little League season after the 10U, 12U, and 14U teams were eliminated in the District 52 Little League All-Stars tournament. The 14U team went the furthest in the tournament, making it to the final championship bracket, but came up short to Pacifica, 5-2. Pacifica went on to claim the championship banner. The team's roster included Aaron Ortega, Brandon Melo, Brandon Jett, Brody Barton, Camden Crowell, Eli Blake, Isaiah Watermulder, Jacob Couto, Javi Haro, Jordan Velazquez, Max Plancarte, Nicolas Naylor, Shawn Black and Tahlon Daivs.

Pacifica’s Teddy Boyes competed at the Amateur Athletic Union Junior National Volleyball Championship held from June 26 to 29 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. The right side hitter helped his team, the SFElite Saga 14U, to a remarkable fifth-place finish in the 14U USA Division Gold Bracket.

A Lugnuts team record 12-run, seventh inning broke open a close game as the 65+ Arizona Lugnuts ransacked the Arizona Rangers by a final of 16-5 Sunday at Mountain View High. The game was a seesaw battle through the first six innings. The Rangers grabbed an early 2-0 lead. The Lugnuts then tied the score with runs in the second and third innings. Another back and forth and it was 5-4 Rangers after six innings. Then, it was all Lugnuts as the offense put up an even dozen in the top of the seventh as 17 players came to bat.
