May you have a happy Fourth of July, Delaware! But don't think that Independence Day is the only fun thing happening over the next few days this month.Hello there, I'm Andre Lamar, your guide to finding sweet summer events in and around the Small Wonder. Welcome to the latest DO Delaware newsletter, featuring several wild events for you to gobble up this weekend and beyond.

'World's Largest Bounce House' meets Delaware

Kids and adults alike will embrace their inner child when the Guinness World Records-certified "World's Largest Bounce House" arrives in Delaware this weekend.

The gigantic house is 24,000 square feet (about four times the area of a basketball court) and includes planets, spaceships and aliens; a sports section with hoops, balls and nets; and much more. Calling Big Bounce America's touring attraction a "bounce house" is deceptive because it's more like a bounce city.

As a heads up, online bookings for toddlers (ages 3 and younger) are full.

The bounce house has various age groupings: juniors (7 and younger), "bigger kids" (15 and younger) and adults (16 and older).

Three-hour sessions include 9 a.m. Saturday, July 6, and Sunday, July 7 (juniors); noon and 3:30 p.m. for both Saturday, July 6, and Sunday, July 7 (bigger kids); 6 p.m. Friday, July 5, (adults) and 7 p.m. Saturday, July 6 (adults).

Kirkwood Sports (1220 River Road, near New Castle) from Friday, July 5, to Sunday, July 7. Ticket prices start at $35 (juniors and bigger kids), $48 (adult). For more info or to book a session, visit thebigbounceamerica.com.

    Rehoboth fireworks with The Funsters

Independence Day won't flame out so easily in lower Delaware because folks will get a chance to enjoy more fireworks this weekend when sparks fly from Rehoboth's beach and boardwalk.

At 6 p.m., road closures begin around the bandstand, and at 7 p.m. on Henlopen and Surf avenues. Beginning at 7:30 p.m., vehicles won't be able to cross Rehoboth Avenue at the circle. Rehoboth Avenue eastbound and Church Street from Route 1 will be closed at 8 p.m., according to organizers.

Beloved band The Funsters will entertain the crowd from the Rehoboth Bandstand from 8 to 9:15 p.m., and then again until 11 p.m., following the fireworks.

Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk (8 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach). Fireworks start around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, July 6. Visit cityofrehoboth.com or (302) 227-6181.

George Wallace & Marsha Warfield bring laughs to Philly

Is it time to renew your prescription for laughter? You may need to visit comedy legend George Wallace featuring Marsha Warfield, the doctors of humor.

Wallace is an iconic comedian who has worked in comedy for decades. In fact, he was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2013 Soul Train/Centric Comedy All-Star Awards, and he also won Best Stand-Up Comedian at the prestigious American Comedy Awards after four straight nominations.

Meanwhile, Marsha Warfield is best known for her role as Roz Russell, the no-nonsense bailiff in the NBC sitcom "Night Court" from 1986-92. Since then, she has appeared in several TV projects, including "Moesha," "Living Single" and "The Upshaws."

    Helium Comedy Club (2031 Sansom St., Philadelphia) at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Friday, July 5; and 7 & 9:30 p.m. Saturday, July 6. Tickets start at $42.88. Visit philadelphia.heliumcomedy.com or call (215) 496-9001.

    Explore Rehoboth’s hidden Libation Room

Welcome to the Libation Room, a speakeasy tucked away in the back of the Summer House Rehoboth.

Lots of seafood options are on the menu like lobster empanadas, jumbo lump crab cakes, truffle salmon honey, and more. The full menu from the Summer House Rehoboth is available, too. Patrons also have a variety of libations to choose from — everything from signature and classic cocktails to wine including sparkling wines, and craft beer.

You can make reservations by visiting their website below.

The Libation Room (228 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach) is open daily this summer from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. Visit summerhouserehoboth.com/libation-room or text (302) 827-3096.

Justin Moore to shake up the Bottle & Cork

It's like Groundhog Day with country star Justin Moore. He's playing two straight shows in Dewey Beach, and one is already sold out, just as it did last summer.

The platinum-selling artist has served up several hits including "You, Me, and Whiskey," "If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away," "Til My Last Day" and others that you'll probably hear when he hits the stage at the beach.

Bottle & Cork (1807 Highway One, Dewey Beach) from 8-11 p.m. Thursday, July 11. Tickets are $69. Visit bottleandcork.com or call (302) 227-7272.
