    1 stabbed, 1 suffers 'severe facial injuries' at Dewey Beach bar northbeach

    EDITOR'S NOTE: This story has been updated to clarify that one person was stabbed and another was injured in the incident.

    One man was severely injured and another stabbed at Northbeach bar and restaurant in Dewey Beach early Friday.

    Police responded to 125 McKinley Ave. just after 1 a.m. and found two men, both from Millsboro, had been injured. A 23-year-old had been stabbed in the shoulder, while a 25-year-old was "lying on the ground with severe facial injuries, bleeding profusely," a Dewey Beach Police Department news release said.

    Dewey Beach Police Department spokesman Lt. Cliff Dempsey said the facial injuries were caused by blunt force trauma.

    Both men were taken to a hospital and are in stable condition, police said.

    Dewey Beach police urge anyone who witnessed the altercation or with video footage or any other information to contact them at 302-227-1110. Information can be provided anonymously through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333.
