Albia Trap Team goes to state championships
The Albia Clay Target trap team participated in the Iowa Clay Target Trap Championships on June 4 and 9 in Cedar Falls. Twenty-four individuals from Albia and Chariton represented the Albia team with six squads and the individuals competing over the four different levels of the event. Each shooter completed two rounds of 100 birds for the competition.

The Hawks first swept a home Upper Iowa Conference (UIC) doubleheader from North Fayette Valley Monday, June 24 by mercy-rule results of 12-1 in five innings and 10-0 in six frames before splitting two games played at the home of the Waterloo Bucks, Riverfront Stadium, Wednesday, June 26, defeating Mount Pleasant by an 8-5 result before allowing a 12-run inning in falling by a 15-10 count to Waterloo Columbus.
