The Great American Parade scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, July 4 on North Virginia Street has been canceled.

The organizer, Great American Craft Fairs, cited lack of community interest as the reason. The group is still holding July 4 activities in Wingfield Park as part of Artown:

    • The Great American Craft Fair is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Patriotism in the Park will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with patriotic music performances, artisans, beer and food trucks and more.
