State Police arrest three people for allegedly driving drunk with children in the vehicle
State Police have arrested three people recently for allegedly driving while intoxicated with children in their vehicles. Andrew P. Smith, 36, of Troy, was stopped on Hoosick Street in Brunswick around 12:30 a.m. on July 21. He was taken to the State Police station, where he recorded a blood alcohol concentration of 0.27%. – over three times the legal limit. In addition, police said Smith’s license is revoked because of a previous DWI conviction.
Owner accused of intentionally setting Colonie butcher shop on fire
Police: Owner intentionally set butcher shop on fire. The owner of a Colonie butcher shop is accused of intentionally setting his business on fire last year. The fire happened on June 8, 2023 around 5 a.m. at Big Body Butcher Shop at 2008 Central Ave. The business had extensive damage and never reopened. Investigators determined it to be suspicious.
Arrest made after reports of man with a gun in Troy
TROY, N.Y. (WRGB) — Troy police responded to 4th Street Friday after reports of a man with a gun. Police have taken a man into custody. Around 2:52 in the afternoon, police responded to 4th Street between Ida Street & Jefferson Street. The suspect was not found with a gun, but was arrested for unlawfully operating a vehicle. A truck was found crashed into a pole on scene.
