    Low cost rabies vaccination clinics to be held in April

    RHEA COUNTY — Local veterinarian clinics will be hosting low cost rabies vaccination clinics in April for dogs and cats. The first event will be held on Saturday, April 13, from noon to 2 p.m. at various locations throughout the county.

    The Animal Hospital for Rhea County hill be holding its clinic at 9961, Rhea County Highway, Dayton, TN, 37321; Rhea Pet Medical Center will be holding its clinic at 2040 Hiwassee Highway, Dayton, TN, 37321; South Rhea Animal Hospital will be holding its clinic at Tractor Supply, located at 200 Able Drive, Dayton, TN, 37321; and Spring City Pet Care will be holding its clinic at 201 Clinton Ave., Suite 1, Spring City, TN, 37381.

    South Rhea Animal Hospital and Spring City Pet Care will be holding a second low cost vaccination clinic on Saturday, April 20. That event will be held at Graysville Elementary School, located at 606 Long Street in Graysville from noon to 1 p.m. at at Walden’s Ridge Community Center, located at 5364 Dayton Mountain Highway, from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m.

    The costs are as follows: $10 for rabies, $13 for distemper/parvo and $15 for FVRCP. All dogs must be on leash, and all cats must be in carriers.
