    Police Logs: Man threatens to hunt trespassing dogs

    The police dispatch center receives several hundred calls weekly. The small sampling below shows their diversity.

    Monday, July 297:11 a.m. Caller wants officer to contact her father and tell him to contact her. She says she has not talked to him for eight to nine years and wants to talk to him. She says she calls and they know it is her and they hang up on her. She had already called law enforcement on this 20 days ago and her father did not call her when contacted. She was told this is not a service law enforcement would provide if he just doesn’t want to talk to her. She does not know her father’s address. She started yelling and swearing, asking to have a deputy call her and eventually was hung up on. Officer was advised and will not be calling her back at this time. Unknown.

    7:21 a.m. Caller says that her 19-year-old daughter is missing. She was last seen last night at the cabin before bed. She had not mentioned anything out of the ordinary. Her shoes, cell phone and clothes she was wearing last night are all inside the cabin. She does not have a boyfriend or close friends/family in the area. No vehicle. No cameras on the property. The neighbors have not seen her either and are out searching. She has never done anything like this before and is out of character for her. No disabilities. 7:35 a.m. Caller called back on 911 stating they located the daughter paddling on the water. She is safe and units can disregard. 20½ Ave., Comstock.

    1:35 p.m. RP was concerned about a snapping turtle that was hit and has a cracked shell. No available resources for turtles. 24th Ave., Cumberland.

    8:04 p.m. Anonymous person says people are jumping from the bridge at Narrows Park. 8:17 p.m. Officer advised he did not locate anyone jumping off the bridge. Rice Lake.

    Tuesday, July 3011:09 a.m. Woman would like to speak to an officer in reference to some items she located in her Airbnb that may be drug-related. The suspects will be returning in a few days for another extended stay. 26 13/16th St., Mikana.

    Wednesday, July 311:47 a.m. Caller says there is a male who is under the grandstands at the fair grounds. He has been there since about 8 p.m. and he is pulling things out of his pull-behind camper and throwing the contents all over. 2:01 a.m. Male subject is going to pack up his belongings and move along. It may take him awhile, however, before he has everything repacked. Hammond Ave., Rice Lake.

    7:31 a.m. 911 caller says her electrical panel started making a bunch of noise in the basement and she can see smoke. Everyone is out of the residence and she doesn’t see any flames. Paged Rice Lake Fire and MMC ambulance. 7:45 a.m. There is no fire. It was contained to the electrical panel. They will be clearing the house. Noble Ave., Rice Lake.

    Thursday, Aug. 112:11 a.m. RP drove by a two-vehicle crash. No vehicle information and debris in the roadway. 12:31 a.m. Driver hit two parked vehicles, owner will figure it out in the morning. 12:43 a.m. The subject who struck the vehicles has left and the damaged vehicles belong to an address near the crash location. Those vehicles will remain there and a crash report will be completed. 12:44 a.m. Traffic stop Elm Street. Cornell Ave. & Humbird St., Rice Lake.

    10:13 a.m. Received a 911 call from an automated message for an iPhone advising it has been involved in an accident and they were unable to make contact. Had an open line and could hear screaming in the background. Unable to make contact. Paged Mayo Clinic Ambulance, MMC ambulance, Cameron Fire and first responders. 10:26 a.m. One adult and two juveniles injured. Just need to be checked out. 10:32 a.m. Contact a wrecker for a fully loaded horse trailer that will need to be disconnected from the truck. 10:38 a.m. Mayo requested an additional ambulance. Paged Chetek Ambulance. 12:33 p.m. All vehicles involved have been removed. MM 134, Cameron.

    11:09 a.m. Caller says he lost a green fishing kayak somewhere between Chippewa Falls and Shell Lake. He would have been on Highway 53 northbound through Barron County. Would like a call if located.

    6:11 p.m. Caller says his tire fell off his vehicle as he was driving and it hit a vehicle that was parked in a driveway. No road blockage, no injury. 7:06 p.m. Got the tire changed and his buddy will be following him home. 14½ St. & 7½ Ave., Barron.

    Friday, Aug. 211:27 a.m. 911 caller says that she rolled her vehicle and had her two children inside. She claims no one is injured and refused medical attention for herself or children and stated she was picked up by someone that is taking her to the trailer park so she can get her boyfriend to come retrieve the dog that is still trapped in the vehicle. Neither the driver nor caller could verify the location of the accident. The driver will be taking caller back to the site and calling 911 again. 11:31 a.m. Driver advised she did not witness the accident but is willing to make a statement on her interactions if necessary. 11:42 a.m. Caller said she is back at the scene. She advised her grandchildren are complaining of neck and shoulder pain, 5 and 6 years old. She also advised she is revoked for OWI but has not been drinking. She said she was distracted driving. 17th St. & 16th Ave., Barron.

    7:09 p.m. RP says there are three kids throwing eggs at people. 7:17 p.m. Unfounded. Lakeshore Dr., Rice Lake.

    Saturday, Aug. 38:18 a.m. Caller says that female subject’s dogs were on his property and that he was going to be actively hunting them now. He was advised that this would not be allowed. He proceeded to scream profanities. 8:35 a.m. Call was disconnected due to caller continuing to scream profanities. Female subject was contacted and stated her dogs were on her property. 6th Ave., Dallas.
