Waller County hit-and-run investigation leads to major arrest
WALLER, Texas — A hit-and-run investigation by the Waller County Sheriff's Office Traffic Enforcement Division has resulted in the arrest of a Grimes County resident. Juan Carlos Moreno Salazar was apprehended following a crash on August 1, 2024, in the 26700 block of SH 6N near FM 1736. According to the Waller County Sheriff's Office, Salazar was traveling southbound when he forced a tractor-trailer off the roadway. Both vehicles came to rest off the roadway, and Salazar walked away from the scene without checking on the other driver, who was not injured.
