Former Richland County nursing home admin charged with fabricating stalking, harassment threats

RICHLAND COUNTY, Wis. (WKBT) -- A former nursing home administrator fabricated stalking and harassment threats.

That's according to the Richland County Sheriff's Office, who say their investigation into the threats made to 38-year-old Shaponda Jimerson began in April.

Jimerson is the former administrator of Pine Valley Community Village, a nursing home located in Richland Center. Jimerson was receiving threats made through two fictitious Facebook accounts, according to authorities.

Jimerson, a resident of Middleton, sought to get an injunction against a Richland County resident she claimed was harassing her and her family. She presented a letter along with other material evidence to support her case.

Investigators later found that letter was fabricated. Online activity records obtained by the Richland County Sheriff's Office showed she created the Facebook accounts and sent the threatening messages to herself.

Jimerson turned herself into Richland County Jail Wednesday for charges of perjury and resisting/obstructing an officer.

Richland County Administrator Candace Pesch issued the following statement regarding Jimerson's charges:

On June 27, 2024, the Richland County Sheriff Office issued a press release regarding charges filed against former Pine Valley Administrator Shaponda Jimerson. These charges are a result, at least in part, of information provided to RCSO by County personnel obtained in the course of its investigation into Pine Valley operations. The County became aware of alleged threats made against Jimerson and immediately referred the matter to law enforcement, leading to a concurrent, parallel investigation into the allegations. County personnel were advised not to interfere in the criminal investigation, including by making any public comment regarding the matter.

Jimerson became Pine Valley Community Village Administrator in February.
