    Why Indiana's first execution since 2009 would be wrong, according to attorneys

    A few weeks ago (unless you glanced over it) you might have seen a story I included in a newsletter about Indiana resuming state executions.

    Joseph E. Corcoran, guilty of fatally shooting four people in 1997, has been held on death row for the third-longest time in the state than the seven others facing the death penalty.

    Now, however, his attorneys are arguing that the state and U.S. constitutions prohibit it, arguing that Corcoran has a "serious mental illness."
