Richmond International Airport recently earned the “Change Management Program Award” in the Airports Council International-North America’s 2024 Human Resources Excellence Recognition Program Award. The airport was cited for its efforts to build and maintain a positive work environment for employees and its proactive approach to employee engagement and efforts to track employee growth, provide employee development opportunities, and establish community engagement initiatives.

“Our dedication to coaching, enhancing communication skills, and boosting efficiency among our current leaders is not just an investment in our airport, but in the entire industry’s future,” said Capital Region Airport Commission CEO and president Perry J. Miller. “And at our core, we believe in cultivating industry leaders through a robust educational and workforce development pipeline.“

The Human Resources Excellence Recognition Program Awards are designed to identify and recognize organizations that demonstrate an innovative and proactive approach to human resources development and employee engagement programs.
