    Crime Insider: 4 critically injured after Richmond crash downs power line

    RICHMOND, Va. -- Four people were critically injured, including a pedestrian who was hit, after a crash that downed a power line on Richmond's Southside late Friday night, Crime Insider sources told Jon Burkett.

    Richmond Police were called to Harwood Street near Columbia Street just before midnight.

    Video from the scene showed heavy damage to the left side of a white SUV. There was also a downed power pole.

    Three people inside the SUV suffered life-threatening injuries as did a person walking who was hit by the vehicle, according to Crime Insider sources.

    There has been no word yet from police about the circumstances surrounding the crash or official word on injuries.
