BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - A Burlington man is expected in court Tuesday after police say he threatened someone with a knife. It happened just before 6 p.m. Monday night on South Union Street. Burlington Police say Abukar Ibrahim, 38, was brandishing a knife and threatened to kill another person after being told he was trespassing.

Brooklyn man faces drug charges
BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - An alleged fentanyl dealer already facing federal charges, was in state court Tuesday morning on other drug charges. Kajuan Woods, 35, pleaded not guilty to cocaine possession. Paperwork says that South Burlington Police in May saw Woods passed out in a car with a woman. They say the car had drugs, a gun, and thousands of dollars of stolen goods inside.
18-year-old working on his car dies after jack collapses, police say
UNDERHILL, Vt. (WCAX/Gray News) - Police say an 18-year-old man found stuck under a car in a Vermont high school parking lot was working on his car when the jack collapsed. Vermont State Police were called to Mount Mansfield Union High School in Jericho about 4 p.m. Thursday for a report of a person who appeared to be stuck underneath a vehicle in the parking lot, WCAX reports.
Man arrested for crack cocaine distribution in Worcester park
WORCESTER — Police arrested a 48-year-old man on drug charges after observing him allegedly distribute crack cocaine in a city park. Officers monitoring Castle Park on June 29 saw Miguel Martinez remove a white rock-like substance from his side and place it on a stone wall, where he broke it into smaller pieces and distributed them to others, according to police.
Police investigating assault, armed robbery in Burlington’s Old North End
BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Police in Burlington are investigating an assault and armed robbery in the city’s Old North End. Investigators say it happened Saturday evening but didn’t release information about the incident until Monday afternoon. New Jersey fugitive caught in South Burlington
A fugitive from New Jersey has reportedly been caught in South Burlington. The Chittenden County Sheriff’s Office says they arrested Jamir Fitzgerald, 22, of Jersey City. In a reply to several follow-up questions, investigators said they caught Fitzgerald at about 3:00 p.m. Friday at a business on Shelburne Road. They also said a shoplifting complaint from the business led deputies from the Street Crime Unit to him.

St. Albans man who dragged officer evades arrest again
A fugitive from St. Albans who was already wanted in Colchester now has new charges in Orange County. Vermont State Police say Andrew Brace, 39, was spotted in the town of Washington shortly before 10:00 Sunday morning. He and another person were believed to be overdosing in a car on Tilton Road. As emergency medical personnel approached the car, Brace reportedly drove away, stopping at a home on Route 110. Troopers say he backed away across the lawn when police reached the home, striking the homeowner’s car in the process and nearly striking a police vehicle. Brace was last seen speeding north on Route 110 toward Barre.
