Clinton Twp. man accused of holding woman in closet for months over drug debt
A 34-year-old Clinton Township man was charged Thursday with the torture and imprisonment of a woman over a drug debt for several months, prosecutors said. Darren John Dawson was arraigned in 41B District Court on charges of torture, which carries a maximum penalty of up to life in prison. He was also charged with unlawful imprisonment, a 15-year felony, and larceny by conversion, a five-year felony.
McLaren Health Care reports cyberattack affecting some patient services
McLaren Health Care, which operates 13 hospitals in Michigan, has confirmed a criminal cyberattack that is affecting some patient services. McLaren hospitals are in Pontiac, Mount Clemens, Mt. Pleasant and other locations around the state. The health care company also operates a facility near Clarkston that has an emergency department, outpatient surgery center and more.
