Police reported that Madison Forsyth, aged 33, now faces serious legal repercussions. Her array of charges, articulated by The Detroit News, includes third-degree fleeing a police officer, assault with a dangerous weapon, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, which in itself carries a potential 15-year penalty. Following her arraignment, she was released on a $500 bond.
Warren woman killed in fiery Sterling Heights crash
A 54-year-old Warren woman was killed early Sunday morning when the Ford F-150 she was driving was struck by a Dodge Charger and burst into flames. According to Sterling Heights Police Capt. Mario Bastianelli, evidence indicates that both vehicles were traveling south on Van Dyke Avenue and the Ford-F150 was stopped for the red traffic light at 15 Mile Road when it was rear-ended by the Dodge Charger causing both vehicles to ignite.

State house race narrowed to Anter vs. Pavlov
It was a photo finish in the Republican primary race for the 64th state house district. Joe Pavlov ended up finishing first with 210 votes separating him from Jorja Baldwin in that five-way race that also featured former state rep Gay Eisen. On the Democratic side of the ticket, John Anter was victorious last night with nearly 59% of the vote in favor of him. Mathew Castillo finished second, Ken Heuvelman third. That sets up a matchup between Anter and Pavlov in November for the seat that will be vacated by Andrew Beeler, who is not running for re-election.
