The tradition of the Lunch Pail began in 1995 when legendary Virginia Tech coach Bud Foster was named defensive coordinator. The original lunch pail, which once belonged to a coal miner, was acquired by the mother-in-law of then co-defensive coordinator Rod Sharpless.
Men’s basketball ticket membership nonconference game purchase process unveiled
BLACKSBURG – As previously announced in September of 2023, men’s basketball season tickets for the upcoming season have shifted to a new ticket membership model. This means each membership purchased during the renewal process includes a guaranteed ticket and seat location in Cassell Coliseum for all 10 ACC home games, with the opportunity to order tickets to nonconference games at special member pricing ($5 per ticket, per game, $30 for SEC/ACC Challenge). All tickets ordered during the claim window(s) below will be in the same spot as ticket members’ seats for conference home games.
