Bodycam footage released in fatal Hamilton Township police-involved shooting
The New Jersey Attorney General's Office released body camera footage of an officer-involved shooting that left a man dead in Mercer County.It happened around 10 p.m. on March 8 on the 1800 block of Orchard Avenue.Officers were called to the home for a reported domestic dispute.After speaking with a relative outside, bodycam video shows officers walking in as they're almost immediately met with gunfire.During the encounter, Hamilton Township Police Officers Derek Fiabane and Paul Piromalli exchanged gunfire with 44-year-old Vincent Correa inside the home.Officer Fiabane and Correa were both shot.Correa was pronounced dead at the scene. A rifle and a handgun were recovered in his possession.Officer Fiabane was transported to a hospital with non-fatal injuries and has since been released.The investigation into the shooting remains under investigation.

A police officer, another driver and a K-9 were injured after a crash that left two vehicles and a building heavily damaged on Thursday.The crash happened at the corner of 2nd and Bridge streets.According to police, the officer was responding to a report of a person with a gun shortly before noon.The officer's SUV was then struck by another vehicle after the driver ran the stop sign.The impact sent the police vehicle into a building, leaving it heavily damaged.The officer is hospitalized in stable condition. TRENTON, N.J. - A police officer and K-9 were hospitalized after police say a serious crash involving another car occurred in Trenton Thursday morning. According to police, the officer identified as Officer Perez, was en route to assist a State Patrol officer after reports of a man in possession of a gun with a high-capacity magazine, when he was struck by an unlicensed driver who sped through a stop sign at the corner of 2nd and Bridge Streets.
Tuesday Crash Leaves Motorcyclist with Serious Injuries
HAMILTON, NJ - Speed and an obstructed view of all traffic may have been contributing factors in a Tuesday collision that left a motorcyclist with serious injuries. According to a report by the Hamilton Police Division, the crash occurred at approximately 6:08 p.m. in the intersection of Norway Ave. And Walnut Ave.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER The report states that just prior to the incident, a 2017 Ford Focus proceeded into the intersection, past the posted stop sign, and was impacted on the passenger side by a motorcycle which was traveling northbound on Norway Ave. The motorcyclist was ejected onto the roadway causing serious injuries before he was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the Ford Focus was not injured. Evidence at the scene, the report says, indicates that the driver of the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed and that a number of parked vehicles may have obstructed his view. Officers responded to the area, contacted the involved party and advised him of the dangers of shooting a crossbow in that area. The male understood the concerns raised and left the scene voluntarily.
