Bushy Run Legion team loses 1st game at state tourney
Sometimes, all it takes is one hit or one pitch to win or lose a game. For the Bushy Run American Legion baseball team, it was one bad inning. Quakertown (26-2) scored 11 runs on nine hits in the top of the third inning to defeat the Beavers (21-5), 11-6, in the opening game of the Pennsylvania American Legion State Tournament at North Allegheny High School.

The Buffalo Soldiers holds a ceremony where a couple hundred motorcyclists are coming to honor the forgotten soldiers whose graves were found at the playground and basketball courts in West Nesquehoning Park. The Buffalo Soldiers were Black troops who served in segregated units formed after the Civil War mostly for duty in the West. The ceremony had quasi-military ceremonies such as a rifle salute and showed renderings of what will happen to the park and a monument to Buffalo Soldiers set to be in place at Rose Garden in Bethlehem.

Work to resume at Fourth Street garage as Easton fights for former subcontractors to be paid
The Fourth Street Parking Garage will receive long-awaited work after a resolution passed by Easton City Council to bring on a new contractor. This resolution arrives after problems arose with the original contractor the city hired to construct the garage, Perrotto Builders. After the city complained of the quality and timeliness of their work, only the bottom deck of the garage opened last May. The garage fully opened last June.
