West Nile Virus activity detected in Rio Vista
Please follow the link below to see a Press Release issued by Solano County regarding West Nile virus activity detected in Rio Vista. The Solano County Department of Health and Social Services, in coordination with the Solano County Mosquito Abatement District, have confirmed that a mosquito pool tested positive for West Nile virus ("WNV") on July 19, 2024, in Rio Vista. As of that date, the California Department of Public Health reports that there are no human cases of WNV.

In a 3-0 vote, the Antioch City Council approved its long-awaited sideshow ordinance after nearly two-years of discussions. Within the ordinance, it prohibits organizing, advertising, and being a spectator at a street racing, sideshows, and reckless driving exhibitions. BRENTWOOD, Calif. - Costco is officially on its way to Brentwood. The retailer broke ground Tuesday on the store, which city officials expect to open early next year.
