Skyler Stookey joins Softball staff as top assistant
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Coe softball head coach Jake Koolbeck announced changes to his coaching staff on Wednesday, adding a new assistant coach as former coaches Ashlee Rush, Madi Miller and Natalie Blank are set to step away from the program. 2024 Kohawk Softball graduate Skyler Stookey will step in as the program's top assistant after making a major impact on the field. A four-year starter at catcher, Stookey was a two-time first team all-conference player and earned all-region honors in 2021.

Molly Baker & Kye Daywitt named WGCA All-American Scholars
CORAL SPRINGS, Florida - Coe College women's golfers Molly Baker and Kye Daywitt were honored by the Women's Golf Coaches Association on Monday, being named All-American scholars for 2023-24. Baker is earning the honor for the second straight year while Daywitt is picking up the first of her career. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of our players.
John Deere Classic week set to begin
The PGA Tour returns to the Quad Cities this week with the John Deere Classic. Eight former champions are in the field, including defending champ Sepp Straka (straw-kuh), two-time champ and three time major winner Jordan Spieth (speeth) as well as Cedar Rapids native and two time major winner Zach Johnson. Tournament director Andrew Lehman(lay-min) says the John Deere being two weeks before The Open Championship has helped attract more big names.
