Springfield, MO – A prolonged period of excessive heat continues across Missouri through the end of the week. Daily highs are expected to reach the middle to upper 90s, with heat index values soaring to between 105 and 110 degrees, peaking this afternoon. Slightly cooler temperatures are anticipated on Friday, though they will remain significantly high.

It says there were two incidents in St. Louis County where the FBI intercepted the scammer before they were able to complete the theft.
