ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Rochester police re-opened South Clinton Avenue as an investigation into a suspicious package continues.

Officers said a package was found in the 800 block of S. Clinton Ave. A section was closed and nearby residents were asked to stay indoors. This happened after RPD’s Professional Standards Section found the package in a parking lot.

RPD’s Bomb Squad was able to take the package and review what was inside it. RPD said they will release more information as the investigation unfolds.
