ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Rochester Board of Education Vice President Beatriz LeBron was in court Thursday.

She pleaded not guilty on a second-degree harassment charge stemming from an alleged verbal confrontation with Monroe County Legislature Vice President Mercedes Vazquez Simmons in April.

LeBron was speaking to the legislature in her capacity as the executive director of the Father Tracy Advocacy Center when Vazquez Simmons claims she pointed at her and threatened her.

    LeBron has denied the allegations.

She is due back in court on August 7.
