ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – A 43-year-old Rochester resident wanted in connection to a bank robbery in Greece, was arrested Thursday afternoon after another reported robbery.

Greece police said around noon Thursday, police in Rochester arrested Michael Hogan for an alleged knife-point robbery in the city.

According to Rochester police, around 11 a.m., the victim of the knife-point robbery claimed he had picked up the suspect on Lyell Avenue in Rochester, believing the suspect was a woman. Police said they drove together to Burrows Street, when Hogan took out a knife and forcibly took the car from the victim. Hogan was later found on Lyell Avenue near Dewey Avenue where police made the arrest.

Detectives quickly discovered their suspect is also the person wanted in connection to a reported bank robbery in the town of Greece.

Greece police said Hogan faces robbery charges with both Greece and Rochester police departments. He faces an additional charge of Grand Larceny in Rochester. Hogan is set to be arraigned in Greece Town Court.
