Home prices continue to rise in Rock County
BELOIT - Home prices continued to set records in Rock County in the second quarter, but a local Realtor said the market actually may be "calming down." "We're not seeing offers 20% over listing price, but people are still getting listing price," said Heather Collins-Armenta, a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty Signature in Beloit.

ECHO offering $500 tornado recovery grants

Rock County Board works to spend remaining ARPA funding
The Rock County Board is scrambling to spend close to $1 million in ARPA funding by the end of the year, or risk returning it. County Finance Director Kristen Vander Kooi says the Finance Committee is recommending giving $600,000 to the victims of the February tornado, and $100,000 each to the Boys & Girls Club of Janesville, Community Health uninsured program, the YWCA Rock County Childcare Center, and KANDU Industries.
Beloit business receives $10,000 Backing Small Business grant
Out of the 500 businesses around the country receiving $10,000 Backing Small Business grants from American Express and Main Street America, four of them are in Rock County. Kimberly Megan is the owner of Chic & Unique at 318 State Street in Beloit. She’s using the grant to remove the stucco from her building and restore it to the original brick.
