Governor Evers approves WIS 93 bridge rehabilitation project
MADISON, Wis. (WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION PRESS RELEASE) - To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Gov. Tony Evers has signed a $1.04 million contract with prime contractor Zenith Tech of Waukesha for a project rehabilitating the bridges carrying north- and southbound WIS 93 over I-94 in Eau Claire. Construction is scheduled to start Monday, July 29.
Higher than normal volume of ‘Pets in car” cases in Eau Claire
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Eau Claire Police say they are seeing higher than normal cases of animals being left in hot cars. This can be bad for pets due to suffering from heat exhaustion and discomfort as cars can heat up quickly. The police department says they will contact pet owners after responding to a call, but if no progress has been made they will break the car window.
