EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - Eau Claire City Council approved its 5-year Capital Improvement Plan, or CIP, for the city. The CIP includes over $250 million in projects. Most focus on repairing or renovating existing city assets such as roads, parks, trails, and water infrastructure. Larger projects include demolishing and constructing new parking in the downtown area.

A very wet spring has yielded to a much better summer so far, and that’s good news for farmers in Wisconsin and the Sheboygan area. May’s nearly double the usual rainfall left Sheboygan County fields soggy and farmers anxious about planting and emerging crops.
