1 dead in farming accident west of Wausau
A resident at a farm in the town of Marathon is dead after being struck by a cow and pushed into a feed fence, according to the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department. Nieves Sanchez-Tezohua died the morning of July 16 at a farm on Ahrens Road. Police say Sanchez-Tezohua joined her boyfriend, who is a farm employee, while he was working in a barn and was struck by the cow. A veterinarian at the farm attempted lifesaving measures until deputies and paramedics arrived.

Guilty Plea in Chippewa County Christmas Eve Stabbing
Laura Feala has pleaded guilty to attempted homicide after nearly stabbing her boyfriend to death on Christmas Eve. In return, prosecutors dropped several other charges. Police reported that Feala attacked her boyfriend while he was in the shower at their Lake Hallie home. He was found covered in blood when police arrived.
