Woman Attempts to Flee Police by Jumping in the Columbia River
WENATCHEE — Wenatchee Police partnered with local water rescue agencies Thursday to save a woman who jumped in the Columbia River in an apparent attempt to flee officers. Around 4:27 p.m., Wenatchee Police officers were walking along the boat launch at 1 N Worthen St., behind Pybus Public Market, when they recognized a woman with an outstanding misdemeanor warrant, according to Wenatchee Police Captain Brian Chance.
