Man listed as missing in Rock Valley flood found dead
A man who had been missing is now confirmed to have died in the flooding in northwest Iowa. Rock Valley Police Chief Monte Warburton tells us 52-year-old Kyle Kreykes of Rock Valley died as a result of flooding in Rock Valley over the weekend. Kreykes was listed as a missing person during the flooding, and Warburton says they found him late Monday afternoon.

Rock Rapids Man Gets Six Months In Federal Prison For Defrauding Pork Producers
Iowa — A Rock Rapids man who defrauded pork producers while working as the regional manager of an Iowa livestock dealer has been sentenced to six months in prison. According to the US Attorney’s Office, 52-year-old Robert Harry Bickerstaff of Rock Rapids was convicted of one count of wire fraud after he pleaded guilty last December.

Alton, Iowa — About 30 round hay bales were destroyed in a fire on Thursday, June 27, 2024, near Alton. According to Alton Fire Assistant Chief Kevin Langel, at about 3:45 p.m., the Alton Fire Department was called to the report of a hay bales on fire at 3810 470th Street, about a mile and a half southwest of Alton.
